Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell (born on 25th August 1949) is an American TV chef personality. She also was an instructor for the Institute of Culinary Education. She is the host of Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as the host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network celebrity with her signature long, blonde hair with a bubbly personality, reveals simple to learn techniques and eliminates anxiety about restaurant food in her series Secrets of a Restaurant. The chef Burrell is also a veteran of New York City's best restaurants. Additionally, she has studied Italy's culinary tradition and culture, and the surrounding landscape. Early on, while living in the New York's upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was the catalyst for her passion for restaurant management after she earned the English and Communications degree from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was where I had the most fun time of my life. I was unable to learn enough, didn't achieve enough and couldn't push myself enough. After graduating at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners, Chef Burrell was able to spend a whole year in Italy doing research and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star in Tuscany. While in Italy she was able to fully appreciate and understand the philosophies behind Italian culinary and cultural traditions that has had a profound impact on her culinary perspective. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens children who are facing obstacles and is also a Juvenile diabetes research foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she promotes the awareness of juvenile diabetes. Burrell travels extensively across the country in her role in the capacity of mentor and guest speaker where she discusses her professional life and the joy of cooking. Through her culinary adventures, Anne often says that she feels extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to share my passion in life with others.
